Opened to the public in 1911, it is an internationally recognized cultural treasure. Here, the Alcotts’ legacy in literature, art, education, philosophy, and social justice is brought to life through tours, education programs, and living history events. Annually, over 50,000 visitors from every corner of the globe experience Orchard House and discover the true meaning of “home.”
